Tradition. Deeply attached to the Alps.

The foundation for the Alpenhof in St. Anton am Arlberg was laid amidst lush green meadows in 1960. Wilhelmine Triendl, together with her son Alfons, built the hotel and opened it in December 1961.

Later, the devoted innkeeper Alfons and his wife Elisabeth had run the hotel for many years. They dedicatedly took care of the Alpenhof by regularly renovating and refurbishing it with loving attention to detail. When Alfons died in 1999, his children Peter Triendl und Sabine Schimkowitsch joined the business.

The heart and soul of our hotel is senior director Elisabeth, who is over 80 years of age and is constantly ensuring that everybody enjoys themselves. She is familiar with the preferences of her regular guests and has a lot of insider tips about St. Anton. Elisabeth is member of the traditional “Schützenverein” and of the famous “Bruderschaft St. Christoph,” one of the largest charitable institutions in the alpine region.

Her son Peter is in charge of service. He is a motorcycle enthusiast and can recommend breathtaking tours through some of the most scenic mountain passes in Europe. His two daughters, who used to be part of the hotel team, are now dedicating themselves to their children.

Elisabeth’s daughter Sabine has three sons, all of whom have already worked in the hotel Alpenhof in the past and are currently making new life experiences in Austria and abroad. Sabine manages the reception and responds to the individual needs of our guests. In her spare time, she likes to go skiing, hiking, cycling and enjoys spending time with her family.
